People who have never riden a horse, trained a gorse, or even been around horses at all will never understand the bond between these two.

We love our horses and they love us, or this kind of thing would never happen.

Way to go Stacy, I get emotional every time I see this, even after a couple years. Great stuff -- What do ya think PETA -- you think THIS horse has been abused too -- morons!!

I love my horses there one of the greatest things i have in life, and they all love me just the same. I get very emotional when watching this video, i have watched this video many times and cry everytime. Its a great video that really shows that her dad loved her and she loved him and they both had a passion for this horse. I bet her dad was smiling down at her and the horse on that day.

Yep, peta would say the horse it twitching its tail, therefore in pain. The horse has its ears pinned back, so therefore it is unhappy. And it surely must have been beaten into submission to do that kind of performance. Not to mention how the boots felt on the horses back when she stood on him..... this horse obviously isn't in his "natural state of mind" (being submissive) so therefore, being abused.

A remarkable performance. Does anyone know if she was the only one that performed without any "utensils"?

My wife was at this performance and she is still moved when she thinks of it. She said it was probably the most amazing and moving performance she has ever seen. I can only imagine what it was like to be there in the crowd. It is most amazing to watch the video, and I expect it was even more moving to see it in person. Chris says that there were people crying all around her, and she was crying as well as she watched it live. She has this video on her computer, and I oftentimes will be in my office and I will hear the music and I know she is watching the video again, for the umteenth time.

A simply amazing performance.

My daughter and I were lucky enough to be there for the Freestyle Reining at Congress that year to see her run in person.  The previous poster was right in that there wasn't a dry eye in the house.
