Hello I have a show steer that is around 900 pounds His hair is always wet any where from damp to soaking wet,  even when the temperature is -30 his hair is still wet or frosted up, he is eating and drinking good no fever or temp,  feeling good I just can't figure out why his hair is wet.  He has a lot of hair and is brushed daily,  blow him dry and with in 10 minutes he is wet again.  He is in a 3 sided lean to  with a outside run. I have asked and asked and  No one seems to know why any one out there have any idea's? What can I do???

My steer gets wet alot when he is inside my barn too. I think it is because of the condensation from the roof.

I ve got a 550# Maine steer that’s the same eats and drinks like a champ is out on grass all day when he comes up to eat he’s soaked evenings and morning mostly neck and across his back has no temperature. I’ve got similar sized heifer in with him she’s dry.
