it would be nice if the association would do this for about, oh, say, 100 bulls and maybe some cows, using DNA in storage at beever's lab, especially as marker technology matures. it would be especially interesting for cunia since he is REMARKABLY low for marbling. if the maine breed keeps touting carcass carcass, carcass, it doesn't really make sense to keep using cunia derivatives, which most of the breed is.
on the other hand, this creates quite an opportunity for others as some have their head deeper in the sand about cunia as they do with defects.
