There's a video of Tarves Count Willy from an A.I. Stud in South America. I'll try to find it.
Until then, John-Pierre, could you post pics of "Estrella" for the people to see, Thank You!

How tall is Estrella? Some of the frame scores listed on the other bulls I liked were a touch to tall for me. I like Estrela. Very good head. His front fits his rear.

not sure what to think of the bull in the video.  I don't think I've ever seen a cattle beast jiggle so much as they walk.  That guy is plain hog fat- not that is a bad thing, or a good thing...

I'd like to see more masculinity, and maybe more extension up front-- he's so massive behind the shoulders- it's almost making him unbalanced.

with that negativity-- that bull should still have a place in the USA genetic pool.  Bulls like that, if put on the right females could really work well-- or if put on the most popular bloodlines-- it would help them tremendously as well.!

The other bulls, are pretty interesting too... course, they're all haired up and such-- but there are bulls under that shag.

Agree with your points. Maybe a little less shoulders could be desirable. The head is so bad too at my point, due US blood infusion.
But to us the first point, that move me to buy semen him and use it, are the large and wide loin and muscle on back quarters. The US bulls as Enticer, Winchester and Optimun 75F make us a bad work, takeing off lots of meat and inserting the typical irish blood head and shoulders. Not wish this kind of animal.
Estrella did a great work and Willy insert some more class after.

at least we agree...

seriously though, I can see you having a point. IMO, if you put a long 'heifer' neck on that bull, you'd have virtually nearly every popular bloodlined shorthorn bull in the US.  Of course the difference would be they were fattened on show feed as mature bulls, whereas that one was on grass. (lol)  I'd say this calf probably looked like a heifer as a baby, before he 'massed' up.

perfect example to me, this calf, who's from some popular US show breeding-- and looks like a heifer, IMO, compared to the other bull I'll post.

exactly, my point... the first looks like a heifer, and the 2nd is bred unlike most any shorthorn in the US.

148 cm
6,4 framed.
1.000 kg
36 kg at birth.
Do the math....2.22 pounds per Kilogram. I'll leave Y'uns up to your own conclusions.

The weight is right and teh color too. People must open your eyes for new options. Roans have same characteriscts of blacks, believe that better in some aspects too. The unique problem is that miss more marketing and strong big company behind breed for impulse more people to use and adopt the breed. Never forget, british are british, same characteristics with few diferences, at least in South AMerica!

Yes I know roans are good cattle blacks just have marketing. I was reading that brazil is now selling angus branded beef. I must also complement you on the quality of your cattle they are outstanding no matter what colour they are.

Aussie, the quality of Angus is unquestionable in all aspects. But I only like to kkep clear that Angus isn't the unique breed in world that is good in marbling, fat cover, precocity and other aspects too.
Brazil as other countries has a strong Angus society that works for your breed. They have your merits and all success is due this work, as in other world countries were Angus is found.
Our breed, as I bred Aberdeen Angus too, is more one tool available, that joining with Shorthorns, Herefords, etc....are available for commercial beef producers.
Brazil has 95% of cattle population composed by Bos indicus (zebu), we can give them merti by roughness, not for meat quality!  ;)
My previous comments was not to be controversial or against you, please don't undersmistand me. But some times people must know that we are not alone in Universe!
Regards from southern Brazil!
