Hi everybody so I found a few Lim-Flex heifers and went and looked at them and I kinda liked the looks of them. Just wondering  if anybody knows much about them. I would probably cross them with maine or sim bulls.      thank you

Just watch the cpws they are out of.  If the angus cows and limi bulls are out of stock with good maternal backgrounds no reason to not take the chance given the market today. Generally where was raised a good charolais bulll was the best cross out od these cows. They would top the market .  If you want to keep the calves black just use a red charolais bull assuming th cows are black with no red bulls used.

Lim-Flex make great females, assuming that they out of decent stock.  If they are Lim-Flex they should be papered so take a look at the pedigrees and EPDs. That should be able to give you a little more info on BW, milk etc.  I assume you intend to breed them to make show calves?

We have had very good luck with our commercial LIM herd for the past 30 years.....  As with any breed there are good and bad, but I truly believe Limousin influenced females are underrated mama cows.  It would depend on what they looked like.  IMO though today there is more difference WITHIN a lot of breeds then BETWEEN a lot of breeds.

Great thank you guys for the input they look pretty good to me of course light boned but very classy and yes I do try to raise a few show calves but I also raise sale barn calves. im still just getting started. I will be headed over tomorrow to look at them again and also there papers
