depends on what the cows look like. I have seen some pretty soft made deep sided monopoly cows. I am not a fan of walks alone. Carcass wise our walks alone have been outstanding. I was shocked. Do you have a couple pictures of the cows? I used maines back on those genetics it seems to work on soft made females.
I had 2 walks alone cows. Both very different from each other. I used an angus bull named safe bet on the more market heifer type female that clicked really well. The other is a softer made big bellied cow moderate frame. Bred her to Thriller and got a very nice, hairy, sound, puppy dog, showy type steer. He could use a little more muscle shape but overall should be a good fat steer. He was a brockled face.
I have 2 Th free & pha free monopoly cows I used Maternal Perfect and BIM on them. Had a set of twins out of MP which I lost so hard to say how they would turn out . I'll attach a picture of the BIM. I have another Monopoly in the show pen that I'm thinking No Worries on her.
I have had had excellent luck with Crimson Tide on my Walks Alone females. These females are out of simmental cows and a bit larger than most Walks Alones. Also, Troubadour works but will add some frame and the semen is hard to get. I bred some WA's to Smokin Joe and will have calves in August/September. I think both the monopoly's and the WA's make good cows, if they are out maternally bred cows.
