She is a purebred angus out of BC Marathon lookin to either breed her purebred again or breed to get a foundation simmy with a blaze face, any ideas would be great, she is bred to MCATL Pure Product and is due in the middle of march.

Yes there is his reg number is 16416862 hes a werner wildfire out of a special design cow and I don't have a pic of him just yet but look under the post new angus bull its probably back a little ways and there are pics of some heifers out of him.  Or if the bids keep getting extended you could hurry and look under holmes sale at breedersworldonlinesales.com and look at the lot 13 heifer as she is a daughter of his

Both heifers and the bull calf are out of the bull and labeled in the caption you can see that one of the heifers is out of a simmental cow.  My friend lives in Oelwein, IA.  I have no bering for IA as I live in MT but if your close you could go see him yourself.

How much birth weight are you willing to tolerate?  It would be interesting to breed her to a South African Full Fleckvieh bull. You would get the blaze face, more muscle, and more maternal.  The only disadvantages are more birth weight and lower yearling weight EPDs.

Take a hard look at Climax. He has worked great for us on our PB Angus cows so far. Getting some great heifers out of him. 75% of our calves have been bald faced with stockings.

If your wanting replacements and want to go Simm with her I have quite a few sim and sim/angus that go back to a Meyer 734 son. I have kept every single heifer out of those original cows and I think I have kept just about every grand daughter/great granddaughter out of them. I really don't think you could go wrong with any of his sons out there. The ones that I have are out of a Meyer Son out of a simm herd, no clubbie bulls in the pedigree. The past 2 years I have bred alot of my angus, simm, and simangus cows to my herd bull that is a TNT Ever Ready son thats BWF and I have been more impressed with his calves than just about any other purebred Sim or Angus AI sire I have used in the past. Great growing feedlot steers and I have had a hard time wanting to sell any heifers out of him. TNT ever ready is a black bull so I think mine gets his color from the dam side.

Thanks for all your opinions especially with the simmi bulls because im not real up to date on the simmis out there, as for if i go back the purebred route the angus bulls i have been looking at are: CJ SH Liquid Asset, OSU Concept, TC Freedom, MCATL By-Product or EXAR Titelist but those are just the ones i have looked at

gOOD aNGUS COW ,LIKE HER .....Have you ever thought of producing a good maternal smoke heifer out of Troubador, smoky bull or purebred Charolais ......There is so many straight black Angus back in this country that a lot of people are looking for susbstitute ,lots of Simi's
being used and some of the god maternal smoke females win shjows and make good cows .....

I do have a couple units of Sparrows Madrid in the tank i could try on her which i think would be a pretty decent mating otherwise maybe some Firewater or Montezuma

Before using Sparrows Madrid make sure your cow can handle the birth weight.  If you feel she can handle a high plus birth weight Charolais then it would likely work.  Firewaters tend to be better carcass cattle than Freedoms.  Freedoms have more maternal power.  If you want to know which of Dory's bulls will work on Angus cows just ask him.  He has some purebred Angus as well and has been known to use his herd bulls on a few Angus cows.

I agree with the previous reply of chopper. he is a very good bull and sires excellent heifers. I would also recomend The whizard. he is a maine sim cross and very much like chopper. they came from the same sale. Flying b cut above (fat butt) is also another option. I would recomend branching out of just simmi and angus and say try a a little maine. I would recomend predator. he sires hair bone and mass. he is not clubby. he is not a th or ph carrier. but his calves come out and can compete with most of the clubbys and the hfrs will excell in the ring and the pasture and the steers will make it to the show and still be sound. just a thought
