Double Stuff x Who Made Who- 2nd calf 3 y.o.--  She's also PHA+ & TH-

Small to moderate in size (4.5 frame)

Was slightly straight as a calf, but has gotten more flex as a cow...  

Had her 2nd calf, and is bred back to our new bull for next year...  Thinking of flushing her after calving next year for STEERS!  black, chrome, or any color-- really doesn't matter.. the more color the better likely...  But would also consider keeping daughters to build clubby herd around if sired by right bull!!

Is a whale of a mother cow... always raises twins (We have a cow that don't milk for shat...and so this heifer insists on raising that cows calf every year!!! Go figure!!    

IMO needs to be a notch larger framed, longer growth curve- and a tad more flex to the rear too!  The cow needs a touch more rib, and depth, but seems not to breed it on...   Breeds on plenty of power though!

I don't know enough about alot of clubby bulls, or atleast how they breed. so help is appreciated!!

Sunseeker. He'll put the gut n butt them and he will throw any color in the spectrum. In the long run his heifers will prove worth their keep IMO and be better cows than Heatwaves. From what I have had so far his calves can be on the smaller to moderate framed side though but man they look cool, stout, hairy and big boned.

I don't think Hannibal is a good choice- notice this cows pedigree- and his...  A little too much of WMW- wthout even seeing a single calf by Hannibal in person, I can tell you that the likely hood of that cross will lead to straight legged calves... 

My first goal is to make steer calves that will compete...  Color doesn't matter, a good calf is a good calf any color...  I don't really want heifers, but if a good one comes along, I'd consider keeping her... 

I'm thinking of Vegas, maybe...  for a 3/4 shorthorn calf!  or somekind of a smoky for the added performance of a Char.  I have some Stainless Steel in the tank, how would he work do you think?

I wouldn't put hannibal on her if she needs more rib and she's a little straight. Also probably not on the sunseeker as he has a good bit of wmw also. Can't see the pics as I'm on my phone. But how was the Jimmy the Greek calf? The ones I have seen were bigger. I would try something like Vegas, invincible, highliner, or maybe hairy bear with out seeing her

the JtG calf, was IMO to moderate and early maturing...  Although he made a KILLER prospect steer!  just didn't have enough performance to make a competitive fat...  Super stout, sound for a show steer, and built really neat

I don't honestly think Sunseeker is going to give you the size your wanting...just my honest opinion.  What about Alias?  I really liked him at Hawkeye, but I've never used him.  Are you wanting a clubby calf or are you leaning toward a breed so the calf can get papers?

I agree with you on Sunseeker- and I don't think Alias will work on her- He's too small, and breeds that on...  From what I have seen... I have also seen several Posty legged ones from him too...  But then again, I may have just descibed 85% of the clubby bulls of today and the yesteryear!! (lol)  Like I said, this cow's only a 4.5 frame score- and I'd like to get that up to 5.2-5.8 or so!!  At least around here for market steers to finish in the 1250 range

Breed and/or color doesn't matter to me...  I don't care,  just so its a good, high quality, stout, eye appealiing calf(s) with body, rib, and ease of feeding...  About anything of today can be papered as something!  Even when their 10 years old like ole Heatwave!! 

The only stipulation is that the bull must be PHA free... because she is a carrier...  She's polled, but is 2 for 2 with Horned calves- but that really doesn't bother me either...  Horns el, make em stoutest-- some say... I'm pretty good with the dehorners too!!!  Have to be when you do 60-70 dairy heifers a year for Grandpa!!

Looks like a bull for you to watch for is the new bull Titanium. The JTG calf looks like a near miss or even better. I've heard nothing but good about this bull. I think that Stainless Steel can make em strait, but Titanium  being a Red Hot X Stainless Steel's full sister, may put it all together for your cow. Let's wait & hear how bad the bull gets critiqued out in Denver. It may be a long shot, but worth hearing about IMO. See how easy it is to get me to try new bulls, on your cows!!!!

Muddy Water would be another very complete bull that may be worth studying IMO.

Everyone who visited really loved the JtG calf...  Thought was a a cool rip...  Only problem was he was so early maturing, and small statured...  I'm nothing but pleased with JtG, and plan on using him again in the future- on a different cow... 

Critique on Denver bulls is always interesting... This year, unfortunately, I won't be in Denver... First time in a number of years...  I'm not high on using new bulls that A- I haven't laid eyes on, or B- I don't know everything about personally!!!
