OK...........the vet has some blood drawn on bulls. Where to send it for the Shorthorn deal. Near as I can tell they need to send it to Neogen Genomics 4131 North 48th Street Lincoln Nebraska. Does this sound about right?

Why not call ASA tomorrow?  They will send blood cards to you free of charge.  I looked up the pdf on ASA website and you can do that as well.  The recent protocol is to send blood card to ASA, and they send it on to Neogen/Geneseek/Igenity.  Maybe ASA will instruct you about transferring blood from tube to blood card, since that is not my expertise.

Although I liked working with Dr. Beever and his lab, after a while I figured out why all samples now are sent to ASA.  ASA then sends sample to lab, and ASA emails back the result to you and also puts it on your animal's pedigree.  Test results are made available to everyone.

At least one other breed had major breeders sending samples to labs other than their association's lab of choice.  The unethical breeders were able to sell carriers to either commercial cattlemen or unsuspecting registered breeders without their association's knowledge of test results.  Also, of course, their pedigrees did not show their carrier status.

Are the two associations cooperating?

I've always just used the free blood cards they send and let the ASA do the work, but now have a pair of shorthorn bulls I need worked for both associations. Really hoping I can just get the results forwarded over to RAAA to meet their new '17 rules.
