i think lutton is his son or is it the other way?

Idk, I was getting a little confused too, I thought it was Lutton was the sire of lut. There must be a couple lutton/lutton son bulls that carry the "lutton" name.

Lut is the son.  Real name is Plainview Lutton. Two years ago the Supreme Champion female and bull at the Nebraska Cattlemens Classic were both sired by Lut I believe.

EXAR Lutton 1831, is the sire of Lut.. Plainview Lutton E102...

Both's semen is way too expensive to single AI breed a cow.  Both are dead (I'm thinking)>  I'm not aware of any other good Lutton breeding sons, and hear about a few new Lut sons that come out and peter out.

Luttons are known for poor repro performance, and I would agree based off of our one daughter.  Hard breeding heifer(both bull and AI), finally calved as a old 2 yo.  didn't rebred that fall (both bull and AI), worked her into the fall calving group--  Synch'd her(both bull and AI), bred her had twins on next hear cycle- didn't rebreed the next year (both bull and AI).  Shipped her.

Our Lutton, was an ET calf from the McLamore Farms in OK great Lady BLackbird cow family.  Her dam was a BR Midland Reg: AAA +15384142
Our Lutton, was super pretty, moderate, slightly narrower than most Angus cows, and shaggy ass haired.

Picture attached of her, her twins as babies, and her lone heifer calf that is twin to a bull- but will be getting checked to be a freemartin anytime as it's time to turn her in with a bull if she'll breed or eat her if she's not, and the black bull calf that sucks...

and one more picture of the potential blue freemartin blue roan heifer calf taken this summer (same time as her black twin steer's picture above.)

I sure hope she's a breeder-- but then again- she's prob too good to be.

Thanks for the pictures BS. I really like your lut cow, but thats really disappointing about her/their difficulty breeding. I did notice they are fairly steep on price.

Thanks again for the heads up
