I asked this question tonight but in the heat of it all did  not get an answer.

Have any of you used the WMW clone and what were your results?  Does he breed just like the original? Has anyone seen the Clone in person?Just does not seem to be any info on this clone. Thinking of maybe using him rather than original due to his semen cost.  I know some say that dna is the same so they should breed the same but have heard some of the clones do better than others on Heat Wave.

I thought Phil said they were the same age as the Friction clones and there were calves on the ground. Also, they're just like the original WMW....should be in a transcript of the chat if we have one...

any clone will pass on the exact same genetic potential as it's clone donor....that being said a champion is just as likely to come form heat wave originial as heat wave 87 because the bulls carry the same GENOTYPE. I would have no problem using the clone of any bull. phil aid there was 2 monopoly clones from same time as the friction clones, there has been a who made who clone for a year or 2 now

ugh.  epigenetics is dead.  plus, no one knows the effect of an embryo swimming around growing for an extra week or so when it should have been implanted already other than increasing BW.

then explain why heat wave 1 and heat wave 5 are considered the best clones of heat wave.  also ask many ranchers that used heat wave 7 on the same cows that they had used original and heat wave 1 on them and the calves had to be shipped to town and they sold all heat wave 7 semen?  they are not the same if you ask around.  yes, on paper they are the same.  but, for some reason they do not breed the same.

I think Phil meant to say Full Flush clones instead of Friction clones.  I have not heard of any Friction clones

possibly the fact that HW and his clones are all very inconsistent

ding ding ding we have a winner!!!

bulls for some reasona re considered good if they raise a major show champion, hw 5 raised 1 maybe 2 major show champions last year, hw 1 has been bred to millons of cows you are bound to get at least one good one
