With all of this being said, what breed cows does WMW work best on? We just bought a couple straws out of him and now with all of this structural talk being discussed, I am nervous we made a bad choice. With the cost of his semen, I am worried about taking that loss.

He works with sim/angus females, especially meyer breeding.

I think who is a hit and miss. Some have it and some don't. Most of mine have been in the 80lbs range but I had a 140lber out of a Ali cow last year. Her calf before that was also out of who and was 82lbs.

Speaking of Harrietta-Breathe Easy is throwing some very good calves-out of about anything hes bred to-spend a couple bucks and use him first time-I doubt there will be a throw away calf-and you are getting the greatest Who cow and arguably one of the greatest cows of the last 15 years along with Ali. Save the who semen for round 2-you aint gonna lose any money. O0

I think we are in the minority on Breathe Easy. We had hard pulls on 5 of 5 and they were average sale barn quality but not even what I would consider good feeders.  They were first calf heifers we pelvic measured out of Whiplash, 2 Playboys, 734, and Draft Pick.  All out of Angus cows and definitely not fed hard.

My experience with Who is if you have any questionable structure he tends to pick it up and make it worse.  I used him this year and will use him again.  But only on the cows with lots of flex and that track really well.

I would not use him on first calf heifers.  I tried that 4 or 5 years ago and had about the same results as Breathe Easy.  I know some get along fine but I think there are better choices out there.

I realize the who daughters have pumped out many sons to hw. Some kept their nuts......many of those should not have. Besides alias how many of these bulls out of who dams have been true changers and replaced the old standbys.......yup I'm still thinking to. P.S my turn is not out of a who.

I saw a picture of Alias as a calf. Your calf looks as good if not better. Alias really toed-out bad and this calf appears to be a lot better off his front. Near perfect profile IMO.

Thanks Telos that helps alot, I'm not a big fan of WMW and had some with structure issues ,but this calf  seems pretty sound ,good top and he is out of one very good WYO-WIND COW that had little more size ,and was  very correct ...There
is a lot of bulls out there but not many good WMW ,will try to find picture of the cow .....  thanks again

Take a look at the Blue Cow in the New Classifeds under VCCP Eastern Elite.  This will show you what this bull can do - she is a good one.
