Who to breed a WMW cow to?

This is her 2nd calf and shes a little bit smaller female, but has alot of depth of body,clean fronted,hair,muscle, bone... We are just looking for something to add size and posssible more muscle.. Her first calf is really nice just wish he was taller..

I had GREAT success with 3C Macho. He threw a small calf but she is growing like a weed. I got a heifer that I want to build on. I bred the same cow back to Amazon. Typically heat seeker clicks well with WHO. There are clean Heat Wave sons that you can also use. I tried Shockwave this year. Good Who momma's are super cows.

this may sound a bit crazy but think about using hannibal. i know linebreeding who may sound a bit extreme but i have seen it work

I agree with Vet Tech on the White Boy suggestion.  We have a WMW daughter that we tried that with this year.  Will know when the calf hits the ground if it took or if the clean up got her.  Had a heifer in May out of a Black Impact female with White Boy and I think she is going to be pretty good.  I am curious to see what king of mama she will make but that will have wait until 2010!

I think SS x Who is one of those swing for the fence matings.  It will either be a butt kicker or a total trainwreck....  That being said just flushed a Who to SS the other day so we'll find out

ZNT Triple X will add some size to your calves, yet keep the calving easy.  Both his steers and heifer have been doing well this fall.  The second place light weight steer at the State Fair of Texas was out of Triple X.  He was only 12 months old at the time.  We also had the high selling cow in the Total Package Sale with a cow safe to Triple X.  Semen can be purchased from either SEK Genetics, or any of our partners.  He is a double registered 3/4 Maine and Chimaine out of Hardcore.

I have been wondering if All About You would work. I am thinking that might be my selection for my WMW female this year. Any one tried that one.

I had good success with Calberta Black Impact on a WHO. Freak fronted heifer. The vet came to help me with vaccinations and she bought her on sight. Probably should have held on to her.

You know in the situation i think it is deffinitly possibility for an outstanding calf.  Hannibal will deffinitly give her some size and dimension

I would guess that to be a home run or train wreck.  You could a real cool looking, nice balanced one. Or a freak fronted, snake bellied, wild beast.

I have a cow that fits the same mold that I bred to Milkman. One of the best 2 or 3 heifers I saw this year was a My Turn x WMW

If you use All About You make sure your female has extremely good front legs and is very sound.    I've seen some real train wrecks on some cows here locally.  Several local breeders have used him quite a bit and although, in general, the calves were extremely stylish and showy looking(especially at 5-6 months of age)they also generally seemed to have poor confirmation--particularly in front and as they got some age on them.  These are just my local observations, but we've had AAY calves win our prospect shows  and then not be sound enough to show as older calves.

As I said, these are just my observations, but maybe enough reason to do some more research before using him!!

Have you thought about Sin City or Vortec for a possible blue roan or possibly a Charolais for a smoky colored calf?  Or if TH is not a concern, Vegas or XRay Vision?  Just a thought, a lot of people are looking for blue roans or smokies.   I really like the look of the Red Smoke charolais bull or his daddy--Smoke On The Water.

shes wanting to go for a black calf as the county fair shes breeding for is a mainly black steer show...If its any other color it must be one heck of a calf..
