    You say you want good cattle.  Good cattle at doing what?  Show cattle, producing great beef, or maybe being profitable in the commercial end of the industry?  Maybe you have identified your goals, but your goals should guide your selections.  Good luck.

    Last year I bought non GMO ear corn for .0525 cents per pound and decent hay at .06 per pound.  I am a grass fed producer so animals being finished did not get any corn but the cows did.

    My Wagyu calves come easy, they are built like snakes.  If you have found a line that are as tame as shorthorns you either have wild shorthorns or special wagyu.  Could you enlighten me as to the breed within the breed that is tame.

    One of the reasons that I brought this up is that I have an opportunity to raise Piedmontese calves for a guy at a nice premium.  I am wondering if I would be getting myself into something I might regret, particularly calving.
