What do people like about fall?

98 degree heat indexes of course!!! :o :o   I like to see the fall born calves hopping along when they are just a few hours old, knowing that breeding season is just a few months away(love to decide just who to use), and that there are more shows.

    Shorthorn X angus color ????

So with a roan shorthorn cow (most everything Ive seen in her family has been roan as well) and a Homo black simmental bull I would also get       50% B Roan and 50% Black.??

    Slick shows??

For me, taking the hair issue away will make me much less inclined to work with my calves. It takes a lot of time and effort to grow hair. I love the hair, so I put in the effort. While I'm brushing, blowing, and rinsing my calves, I am also training them so they will act better at the show...

    New Showman

We show fat the end of October and try to get April-May calves, so I believe that he could work for you if pushed. What breed is he? What would you say he weighs? Is he smaller framed or larger framed?  Pictures would be helpful to see how  he is made. If you decide to show him, I would get him...

    Opinions Please

Thanks everyone. She's out again on the 15th, so wish me luck. I have been very pleased with her thus far, really does pretty well with the weather in Alabama as well; which came as a surprise. Anyone got any breeding suggestions for this first time around. Not really familiar as I should be...

    Opinions Please

Hey Everybody, This is my May 20, 2008, PB Shorthorn heifer. She's a RadioActive out of a Navajo x Dixie Chic cow. We purchased her from fellow steerplanet member Jeff Roy. Please let me know what you think. She's been shown 3x; breed champ all three; 4th o/a onc; 5th o/a once. More pics...

At our county heifer show which is no fit, we say no glue/paint. Pink Oil, Kleen Sheen, Show Foam etc. are fair game. Thats just how we do it. Sarah

    Joint Supplement

He's uncomfortable if he's on his feet for a decent period of time. He will just "dance" and cannot plant the feet and be still and comfortable. I was looking for a way to get him under control for the show mainly. He doesn't pop his pasterns, just seems hung up and not right structurally...

    Joint Supplement

What is everyones opinion on the best joint supplement for a steer who is built a little too straight and needs some help staying sound and comfortable as he is getting bigger. He will show fat the end of October, is suppose to go to slaughter then, but will keep him extra if there is a...

Showed under Rany Daniel, but it was Simmy hfrs. Seemed to like complete, high quality cattle. I liked him.

    Daily Routine

In the mornings I get them up around 7:30, feed, hay, into the fans, brush, spray in conditioner, rinse, brush hair up. Around 3:00 I rinse and brush again. At dusk, I get them out, feed, practice with them, rinse, and brush. Then, I put them out with hay. Good luck!!! There are a lot of people...
