What do people like about fall?

hoodies, flannel shirts, leaves changing colors, turning the ac off and opening the windows, no more flies on the cows, football....it is my favorite time of year...not to warm, not to cold, just right!

What is fall???? I live in South Florida so we do not get to enjoy fall. I like looking at pictures of all the leaves changing and everyone putting on warmer clothes and just dream. We have two seasons a very short winter and a very long and hot summer.

As of now, Fall has sucked. Below average temps, its been in the 40s at most every morning, and its rainedfor about 8 days. High school football and softball games have all been freezing to watch! Someone told me that we were gonna have an Indian Summer. I wouldnt mind that.

I like to see the fall born calves hopping along when they are just a few hours old, knowing that breeding season is just a few months away(love to decide just who to use), and that there are more shows.

Harvest is one thing that comes to mind. However, I will always associate fall with getting new calves into the barn and getting them used to the daily routine!

I 'm not a cold weather fan, go figure I've lived in Colorado my whole life. There's a couple of things I like about fall. I hate flies with a passion so with the first couple of pretty hard frosts they are finally gone. Also with the cooler weather we don't have to put the cows in the cooler.

The sound of Canada Geese flying overhead. Brings back very fond memories of my Dad. Avid hunter, always took me with when I was a kid.
He passed away in the fall of 1995, geese flew over when we were in the cemetery.
