    Lucky and Italian Stallion

I have a lucky heifer out of a purebred shorthorn cow that will be a year old the 28th of Feb. Not sure on her bw as I didn't raise her. She weighed 777 pounds last weekend at a show in southern Utah. Message me an email and I will get you as many pics as you'd like

Yep I agree CAB, I will be using the bull again- just maybe not on that female. Like I said before, the calf wasn't really thick at all, just long and malpresented. I think she would have had it by herself had it been presented correctly. I was a little surprised by the BW compared to what I had...

The heifer was a Step up X Steel Force. I raised her, she came easy from a fairly moderate Steel Force cow, weighed 72 pounds at birth. Only feed she got through the entirety of her pregnancy was pasture and grass hay. Who knows, maybe just not a lucky breeding for me! Have a few other things...

    Half chute vs. full chute

I agree with Doc, unfortunately I have witnessed a few rodeos like what he is describing... Never fun.

I might add, I don't blame the bull at all for the fun times mentioned above!! Still love the bull, hope to get this calf rolling and bonded with his mother. Yeah it was a little heavier than I was expecting, but every now and then these fun things happen. I'm not one to let it change my opinion...

Well.... Not to be the one to throw the thread off a bit, but my shell shocked was born yesterday morning at about 4 AM at the vet via C-Section. Now, there are a couple things worth mentioning here. I shot the heifer with Dex Tuesday night because she was a few days over her due date and I...

Thanks for keeping us updated! Nice looking set of calves there. Still can't believe those birth weights... I have a shell shocked due any day now so I will update with what I get and hopefully some photo! It's a step up heifer bred to him and she came at about 70 lbs so I am expecting a fairly...

That's great to hear from both of you. Really like the looks of that calf FSR!! It definitely sounds like Shell Shocked is proven heifer safe, however I have a question for you both and anyone else that cares to chime in.. I have a super thick clubby heifer that I will be breeding in March or...

Bump. FireSweep Ranch I saw you comment about Shell Shocked on another thread, how are your calves out of him doing? I know you got a couple last year. Anybody else have updates on the bull?

    MINDBENDER

Josh (Bullpen) Should be able to get you some better info on these questions... we've had one so far out of a SimAngus cow. About a 75 lb heifer with as much vigor as I've ever seen and seems to be growing really well. No issues with birthing.

That's awesome OEF Simm. I talked to Greg that morning because that heifer caught my eye. I am going to be breeding two heifers to shell shocked next week. Any more pics would be awesome even if its in a PM.
