I have kept a couple hiefers where the bull bred his mother.  The oldest calved last year and has a nice bull calf.  It promotes the good genetics as well as the issues, so as long as your using good stack; you should be OK

If it is the same bull, we used him in '84 for our '85 calf crop.  He was a NBI bull and it it the same bull I may be able to find some semen for you.
