Rinse like you have been doing and try to tie under fans. I agree when tied try to have a tarp or something over some of the opening. Misters do wonders. I have worked with some less than ideal conditions and seem to do alright.

Neither. Both of their BW EPDs are huge. For a heifer you want a low birth weight. I would look at Perfect Timing or some of the other About Time sons out there or Sensation. There is also 3027 or Harland for more of a commercial side. Purple Tonic is also heifer safe.

If she's not bred to calve this fall you need to keep her in milk or she will be no use to you as a nurse cow.

Most breeds give you a show t shirt that you do the regular show and showmanship in. I know when I did Herefords most stuff you could make ahead of time at home and take with.

I don't think she is fat. She needs feed and more time. They don't get that big belly full look over night.

I worked with a couple of older guys when I was in college that swore by animal antibiotics. They went to the vet before the doc for about anything human related too.

For heifers we are using Perfect Timing. He is heifer safe. Custom Made has not froze yet. AMC on here can help with ideas. If you just looking for commercial calves we have used Upstreams 3027 bull. Custom Made is a registered Hereford tho to answer your question.

10-11 months I had one. Had a friend tho that had Jan.- Feb. heifers and bulls weaned in a pen together in Sept and had 2 calves the following summer. So those young bulls were obviously ok.
