    Penicillin and Nuflor

Agreed on Baytril. However, it would be in your best interest to get a vet to look at the pig, or at least someone who has been around awhile and knows what to look for. Another option is Excede. Don't see Nuflor being used that often on the pig end of things.

Is ace of diamonds safe on heifers?

The few I have personally calved out weighed in the high 90's up into the 105 range. I wouldn't worry on anything past a heifer but for that 1dt calf how about MAV Bellringer?

    Pickups

I have had more than my fair share of trucks in the past few years, but long story short, DO NOT get any Ford with the 6.4 diesel, and don't bother a Dodge with an automatic. I had an 08 that I got used with 30,000 miles on it a year ago. I put 70,000 miles on it this past year, nothing to tough...

    Before and after

Unrelated to the clip job, but this calf really needs a hoof trimming. Not a bad job at all for a 1st time out clipping.

    marrow's steer weight

How is that to big for MO State Fair? 2 months out, 2 pounds a day on a steer being shown like that is 240 pounds which is 1302. Even if you say 3 pounds a day you're at 1402. Shrink him back to 1330 and roll......

    First Time A.I.er

Monopoly isn't a "hot" carrier, and neither is WA. I wouldn't be scared of that.

very good point. I'm certainly not saying I always agree with him (normally see thongs different), bit he is consistent......

    Cut the BS

That's an opinion right there isn't it? Getting old....... In response to the original post maybe you should consider reading his posts in a different way. He is blunt, yes, but at least he is consistent. Counts for alot in my eyes. I'd rather see his rants and raves than the 15 year holds...

    Show heifer now at work.

How was his comment rude? Learn how to read and type English, then maybe others won't feel the need to get on here and point out the obvious......

    custom care for show cattle??

I've always heard $10/day/calf which includes feed, getting rinsed, and under fans. Anything else you get reimbursed for. Show expenses should be split by head that way nobody gets stuck with an outrageous bill.

    Melatonin

They work, but it really makes a calf head shy quick.....

Breeding to Ace of Diamonds or Simple Man

not saying he is rock solid. Also haven't heard of any big train wrecks. When people are using him on these hw and clubbing deals and you still don't here of any big issues, you might be on to something. Good luck with that DO deal. Hope she spits it out for you.

Breeding to Ace of Diamonds or Simple Man

Well, maybe for a Simmi that's good, but from what little I have dealt with them, some of.those DO's can come pretty hard with a big head, big front end and tip the scales pretty heavy. Also, since when do epds tell an accurate story all the time? I will still say I80 is the only calving ease...
