    Oklahoma City Bombing-New Video Link

Not sure what this thread has to do with cattle business, but there's way too much cutting and pasting on this video to have much validity with me.  We all know that with today's technology digital sources of media, stills or video, can be made to look/say anything the creator wants them to...

    one crazy coyote

I'm SOO sorry!  If you're looking for a dog to handle Coyotes or even wolves, think about a Maremma, Akbash, Kuvasc, Anotolian and the like.  They are businesslike and not always the best housedogs, but they'll dispatch the wild canids in a way a human can never do. ANd, they're happy to work a...

Take a look at our first calf heifer and her heifer calf

Wow, nice healthy pair!  Congrats!  I rarely take a look here any more but today I did and was happy to see these 'girls'!  And, "Connealy" as in Dateline, et al?  Welcome to SP!

Set of Twins with a PHA calf!

Apparently you didn't go to titangirls blog.  Classic deformity w/PHA.  Congrats, TG, for having the guts to do what needed to be done to save the cow and remaining calf.  Will you post pics here of the 'healthy' calf?  Amazing!

    No colostrum

How soon 'did' the calf suck?  Or did it suck at all?

    Bulls on front porch!

That's hilarious!  When I still had breeding cattle (Lowlines), I headed out to do chores one nice summer morning and found my (rather tame) Lowline bull lying in the garden right beside the back deck!  He looked just like Ferdinand!  He just laid there looking up at me as if to say, "What took...

    UPDATE on down heifer

Ditto on the Equine Senior.  I fed it to my bull when he got to about 10 yrs old and his teeth weren't too great.  It melts in their mouths and they just love the smell and taste.  It kept him feeling good siring calves for another year and a half.

    Calving 101

After making sure the cow has accepted the calf and that the calf has sucked, I leave them alone for a couple of hours to bond without me disturbing them.  I, then, check them several times over the next 24 hrs to watch for any unexpected problems.  I don't routinely do any vaccinating at this...

I don't have any experience with him but thought I'd bump your question up in case it got overlooked by anyone who has.  Welcome aboard!!  (clapping)

This thread is the poster child for Jason's thoughts about a separate, non-cattle section.  I'm for it, Jason.

    Learning about lowline cattle

Hello, and congrats on wanting to learn more about a very interesting, and profitable, breed.  I started raising/owning Lowlines in about 1998 when I lived in the state of Wyoming.  I saw the display at the National Western Stock Show when they were first imported into the USA and was hooked! ...

    What do y'all think?

Ditto.  The first year project can set the tone for the rest of the child's showing career.  You've done it right by getting one with such a good disposition.  It's almost impossible for a judge to overlook a little kid showing an animal that dwarfs them!  Best of luck and, yes, feed her up a...
