    Popular Angus Bull?

There were some nice lookouts but use him with caution.  As I've been through some pastures it looks like for every really good one there are two or three throw-aways.  I just don't see the consistency in him.  But, he is a bull that you can use and hit a home run with.

    Best set of Clippers

I looked up the Andis 5 speed clippers and the top speed is the same as the other clippers out there.  Is there a reason to go with the slower speed at times?  If I'm wrong about the performance of these clippers my apologies.  I guess I just want to know some reasons to go with these more...

    How to practice fitting?

A lot of good posts on here!  Like everyone says.  Watch the guys that you think fit well.  I didn't have anyone to teach me when I was growing up so I had to buck up and ask alot of questions.  Most people will help you, especially if they see you trying to improve.  I still watch when I can to...

    Oppinions on heifer

Looks like a nice heifer.  What is she?  How is she on her front wheels?  Looks like she may be a tick straight in her front.  It could be that she's standing weird because she's tied up too.

    Self feeders

I've been looking at the Apache feeders.  I was also told to look at the feedking feeders through a PM.  Yeah, not having skids can be a problem!

    Self feeders

Believe me, gentleness isn't a problem.  My thinking is you can't hardly give a bull enough feed.  They just do better on a self feeder.  With the performance sales in Illinois the heavy bulls sell.  I've compared notes withalot of people who sell well and they all say self feeder.  Not saying...

    Pasture Pic's

I like them.  They sure are long sided critters aren't they!  They look to be real useful!  BTW, the view you have there is beautiful!

    Self feeders

I'm getting ready to wean some bulls and am wanting to put them on a self feeder.  I will have 4 bulls to wean.  Any suggestions on self feeders?

    Silveiras El Capitan 6510 Calves

I think they look awesome!  I haven't seen a whole lot of them but the ones I've seen have been good.  He's the reason I'm using his clean full brother Style.

    Opinions on Angus Bull calf

Bluff Country Cattle, we used OSU Currency and MCATL Reachout.  The Currency's are pretty good.  I would say just to watch the front ends.  They don't get leathery....it's more like thick necked, IMO.  Other than that they are really nice.  If you do use him, I would breed him to your really...

    Opinions on Angus Bull calf

I'm not an owner.  Bought some semen.  I had a bull last year by him and sold him as a bull for good money.  He was out of the same cow family and made similiarly,  but not as explosive as this guy.

    Opinions on Angus Bull calf

He realy doesn't have much leather up there.  He has just a tick of it but I think he'll grow into it.  I was trying to get a true profile pic but he was pretty interested in what I was doing this morning.  I'll try and post another pic showing his front extended.  I would call this bull good...

    Opinions on Angus Bull calf

Here is a Jan. 26 bullcalf 81lb. BW out of a first calf heifer.  He is a Gambles Royal Flush X TC Freedom.  He will be the heaviest critter ever weighed at weaning on our place(at least I think so).  Opinions good and bad are welcome.

    swollen hocks

Our heifer this year has had her hocks swell a little.  This might sound crazy but her swelling went down when we exercised her more.

The way I look at it...it's like if I would have married a professional tennis player(female of course) I can guarantee you that our offspring would be better than my un-athletic self but probably not as good as dear old mom.

    Bojo Calves

I'm with ShowHeifer on this.  I don't know how I could sleep at night knowing the potential outcome to the cow.  Even if it's just a recip I would never do it.  Regular calving is stressful enough for me.
