I think pricing has a lot to do with where you live. Around here only a handful of kids spend more than 1200 on a calf and many never break 1000 and they still have awesome calves.  A lot of that has to do with the fact we dont have any "majors" around here

I think since he is wet below the knees the fluffy hair makes the knees look huge

Oh hes awesome - I saw one a lot like him at the sale yard here - maybe just a little more red but the sucker was very mean - he was trying to run everyone over in the ring.  Your guy looks super nice though

If you have been at it long enough - your own back field lol!  But the steer in my avatar was 700 and we made that back like 4 times in our sale (we have so many animals that most dont go for more than 1.60)  and that calf was top ten would have been higher with more finish
