    Beginner Question! :)

when we were getting calves ready for the sales there were lots of clipping opportunities,,, then once the sales were over no one clipped the calves that didn't sell ... there were 4-6 here all the time that a beginning clipper could have worked with... most are still here .. you are welcome to...

    maine bulls?

You are correct in that a lot of the lo birth weight bulls go back to Ali.. and a lot of the other bulls  go back to hard core... GVC Suh, and the other GVC bulls wouldn't.. The DMCC bulls won't except Mark has been using some I-80 lately I notice Yardley has a limited edition, irish whiskey...

    maine bulls?

I think you are probably on the right track.. some high quality females with some middle and performance I also know what you mean about more rib... I think that is the most difficult thing to breed up to in the Maine deal... Remember that if you want to show heifers as high percentage they...

He will know every breeder in that part of the world and could steer you the right way... I suggest...

    Calf from I80

Bronco fan... I thought about your last post and I wonder how big that heifer is now... although I-80 is used a lot on heifers he will occasionally produce a 90 or so calf.. if she is going to be 1000 pounds at breeding and you feel good about her background then that should work out OK If she...

    help with bull selection

chest width and spring of rib are both desiable traits and I suspect that is what you mean when you talk about width. As long as the cattle aren't sickle hocked you should be good on rear width... Look at Yelo repo on genetics horizons and study his background a little ... about absolutely...

    Calf from I80

on the downsizes question... I am not a frame score guy... but I think to win a State Fair mature heifer show the heifer needs to weigh 1200 to 1300 or more depending on condition as a 3 month bred heifer (at 15 months of age).. if you are breeding to 1300 pound cows I-80 may not quite get them...
