The pair I was liking ended up heading to TN. And the heifers I tried on we're a little to popular to head our way. I was very happy to hear what the new Secrataty had to say and had a great trip. Hope you guys made it home in good shape and look forward to the next visit.

Very nice day at the sale today. I had a nice time seeing JIT and Doc even given the fact JIT thought my rare prime rib (like I like it)could be saved with a shot of penicillin! Average was 3200 and change. Nice cattle with JIT finding one really nice cow and Doc a whole load of top females.

As I fall asleep tonight with damp eyes after watching the national tribute in D.C. I hope we all think of the fighting men who allow us to live our lives every day as some others can only do in their dreams. For all of our differences in this country, God Bless the fact that we can have them!

Here us an update on FCC STMP Patriot 8X. In the photo he is on grass as a 3 year old and we have bred his first set of daughters. His calving ease and birth weights have been outstanding and we are breeding almost all of the unrelated yearling heifers to him.

That is a good picture and I don't want to take away from it but from someone who was at the sale it can't capture the volume of people or the energy that this sale had. What an amazing event. I am very happy that I was there to see what the purebred industry can do and has throughout history...

If it is a jackpot or a show where you can use powder, use goldbond and blow it off when the leg is dry. It is a lot more natural look than baby powder.

We are just getting ready to flush DFS RIDER'S GEROGINA 850 to All Gold and I couldn't be more exited. The other cow I wish to flush that way is Ash Valley Kendra 7142 (grand dam of TM Gus 36S). He looks like the real deal and so do the calves at Leemon's out of him.

I tried him on a couple and bred most of last years first calvers to him. By Febuary and March we will know a lot more. He should calve very easy.
