Show me one double stuff female that has done well in Texas in the last five years? Sho me some calves in Texas and elswhere that have won shows related to Doublestuff-and you can go back to 1995 on that one,and given that there are alot of other states in the union-we can expand your wotld a little. I'm sorry I live in the now and AHL hasn't been relevant in the state of Texas since I can remember. I don't really see them winning any where else either. So show me a major show champion since the year 2000.

There are probably quite a few including 10 Queens x Double Visions , The Fee For All Son,(Denver) etc. I follow Louisville ,Denver, and llinois, they are way more competitive. The effect of the bulls born in 1993 doesnt have to be as a sire any more than Trump-show me a here and now Trump sired calf that's won lately. And that (Stuff,Vision, ryc) breeding is behind more high dollar sale cattle for club calves, crossed with more breedsTODAY,than Trump ever thought about-In terms of diversity of use that worked, there isnt a Shorthorn that even comes close;in the numbers of cattle today. Almost every Texas -Oklahoma club calf sale I see has something closely related-ditto for the civilized world LOL O0 O0

I don't know about the heifer, but the green tint to the grass sure looks good to me.  I can hardly wait to get to Razor's sale this weekend.  We were well below 20 degrees in central Iowa this morning.  Snow yesterday.  I look forward to heading to Texas every spring, just to see the green.

The heifer does look good.  It will be interesting to see how the Vanguard calves develop.

heifer looks good.  reminds me of cumberlands.

if she stays that way, breed her to a cleaner made jazz son who is clean or to a half sib with different mother or to another leroy son with or something with bonanza or buster.

Hiefer is the type I like-and if she stays that type, which I bet she does-Id put something like Daybreak Express-or even Gator(FHF Rodeos Hope- llegit LOW BW-grandson of Highfield Hope). Youd have low Bw to high weaning- yearling spread-and definitely an outcross deal that would show. O0

Saskvalley Bonanza 219M would be a good option for her. She looks like she is gonna have plenty of size. Coalpit Creek Leader 6th X would be another one that would click on her type I would be. Captain Obvious I think would also click. Bulls that are masculine more compact on that female I think would make fantastic calves. Nice heifer prospect.

Thanks Iowa - got it - ain't it funny, here is a bull in a bunch of pedigrees but he ain't got no mamma and he ain't got no daddy - poor little orphan....

Maybe the shorthorn breeder used the famous "Chi wand" and changed it to a "shortie wand" and WHAM!  Introducing a registered shorthorn.  (clapping)

Did some research myself... looks like he’s just registered as “Kodiak” on the Maine digital beef. Out of Cunia, 50% Maine, 25% Chi, 25% Amerifax. Born in 87’, black, and horned. Owned by Ohlde Cattle Company.

bottom side is from beauprez.  he probably bought the cow from ohlde, and the cow is probably ildeno x amerifax.  he had a lot of those around then selling them like hot cakes
