How cool would a History of Genetic Trends class be in a college Animal Science program? I probably have a lot of these old books...I always think I might want to go back and look something up! I just designed a sale catalog with some semen on older, hard to find bulls, and it wasn't all that easy to get pictures of all of em! I still have a couple straws of Stinger semen in my tank, and I have no idea if it's worth anything or not. I judged a 4-H show in Illinois back in the early 90s and used a Stinger steer to win the show, so I got a few straws to play with. I don't think I ever used any of it, and there it still sits!

I remember Buck, and I always thought he was ugly. We did have a good Buck cow one time...I don't know how she had any rib at all but she did!

listing of bulls on page 2

On another interesting note:  One particular clubby bull from this era, had a dam that was Cub x Cunia...  Isn't that ironic that another clubby bull that just sold this week- from this era-- also has a Cub x Cunia dam--  Q Dog...

Here's 8 more bulls for you..
Cub
Play Ray
Bronze
Hotrod
Totally Tuned
The President
Barbwire
Mr. A

Someone read the President's description...  and let me know who you think the baby brother is...  WMW I suppose?  Anyone think they could find semen on this bull?

I often wonder what the difference in genetics are, just in this case with WMW's full brother (The President) on the page and I have never heard of a single calf out of him, yet WMW is argueably the best club calf bull ever.

promotion... WMW was bought and promoted by Lautners...  Guessing The President was retained for in herd use only by his breeder..  Say nobody knows what happened to that outfit, probably out of the business like many are that were around then, and many will in 10 years.

I would say this "outfit" is still in the business since they not only have The President to their credit but they also bred Who Made Who as well as Glitter N' Gold the sire of those two bulls...and others

The one that sold for $11,000 or so in 1996...about the time WMW came out....

I'm looking for a picture of Simmental bull ASR Cactus Red Z002.  He was born in 1990 and was in the COBA catalogs in the early 90s. Any help would be appreciated.

Champion pen of 3 at Louisville and overall champ club calf were all "supposedly' out of WMW that year.

I have a couple units of Cactus and will use one in the next couple years - breeding for some heifers that he should wok with pretty well.  As far as info on Playboy.  Which one as there is more than one/

Wondering if anyone can find a picture of the simmental bull GW Mick 838B? Born in 92. Found a lone straw in the tank so naturally I'm curious. Can find his sire easy enough but no luck in my search.
