I've had Aussies since 1987 . I wouldn't have any other kind of stockdog(JMO, don't want to offend anyone). I had a black - tri male that I bought in California that was 45 Ranch & Las Racosa breeding. I thought he was an outstanding looking dog as a black tri. I trialed him in working dog & used him on the farm both.I lost my outside dog last year(he was a blue merle) & haven't replace him yet.) Right now all we have is a blue merle female that is a Mini & she is a inside dog. Smart as a whip & heels the girls when they start running thru the house, but I think if I took her to the barn & tried her on cows, only 1 of us would get back in the house( & I don't think it would be me).

We raise Toy Australian Shepherds. They are just like the standard Aussie, but in a much smaller (20 pound) size. They can do anything a standard aussie can do and have no clue that they are little. Great temperament and wonderful with kids. I would definitely recommend the breed  :)

We are into the Mini Aussies now, papers and all. I can tell you this, they don't know their not "big" dogs!

This post kind of gives me a chuckle, because it seems everybody who raises Aussies also raise shorthorns. must really like the roans  ;) Anyway I am easily amused

When I got in form school today dad asked me to see if I could find his 10 year old australian shepard, we thought she was dead. I went to our hay barn and herd somthin wimper. I went to the back behind hay and found her and her newly aquired 8 pups. It is a mericle thay didn't freeze to death. There now on our back porch and doing well.
