(thumbsup) Congratulations to Jordan Buba on breeding raising and showing the National Champion Shorthorn bull at Denver. She also exhibited him to Grand Champion at the Canadian National Show and Agribition. Wish I could have watched the show!

I love seeing the Canadian cattle standing up against the competition in Denver. I saw him at Agribition.  He's impressive, for a shorthorn haha!

I thought Element was an easy Champion. Jordie and crew had him looking great. Congrats to them for a great job!

The top end of the bulls was very strong. There were some variations in type, but each one was very useful. I was very pleased to see some variation in genetics as well in the Champions, as that is also good for the breed.

It was well deserved! Certainly an impressive bull! So happy for that crew, they worked very hard for that banner. :)

I saw him in the stall across from the folks my friend was helping. He was big middled and wide topped. I thought he could be better fronted especially on the move and have more rear muscle. All in all though he was a good bull.

I agree on the new genetics:and hes gonna throw some color-Anybody get a picture of him from behind? O0 Or Talladega from behind?

I thought he looked pretty good- more than enough muscle for a maternal breed. If he will settle down where he is frame wise,  he will be a very useful bull.

I thought he looked pretty good from the pictures. I guess my biggest concern would be that all the pics I have seen of him in the ring, he seems to toe out in the front end.

Well done to all parties involved (especially the Aussie partners!). He's certainly an eye catcher and from what I hear, a pretty mobile individual with that all-important "sire appeal".
I'd love to see this bull slicked/wet, anyone got any pics without the hair?

I think what you see is what you get with this guy.  He does not have a lot of extra fluff.  Coming from the outfit he does, you can bet they know how to raise bulls!

I don't have any pictures, but he doesn't have as much hair as it looks like.  I've seen this bull in the washrack, and he is the exact same bull soaked down as he is haired up.  A huge congratulations to the crew and of course Jordan!

Here is a class winner from Moore's by HC Timeline, he looks like a powerfull bull as well! Canadian bred, American owned. The reserve Champion was American bred (with American and Canadian owners)by a Canadian bull, Saskvalley Primo 40P (thumbsup) We have more up here than ice and snow(no really we do (lol) )

Thanks Dan for posting a pic of Marksman. I thought he looked great in Denver. He is probably a little big for some people but when packers are paying top dollar for larger carcasses, and he is very easy fleshing, I think he has a definite place in the industry. Marksman had a 15.8 sq. inch REA at 12 months and had a marbling score of 3.78 on a growing ration. In my world that is a pretty good combination. All in all, all the top end bulls in Denver have something to offer the industry. Thanks to Moore's for doing such a good job with Marksman.

Keep sending us the cattle, but enough with the ice and snow!  I'm sick to death of the weatherman talking about Alberta clippers.  I'm comforted by the fact that the gas dealers have seen fit to almost triple the price of heating gas in the past few days.  Was it W.C. Fields that said never give a down man a chance to get up?

By the way, the bull looks great.  I suppose that little shot of Trump was just enough to put him over the top.

You can see some testes on Marksman.

aj...... Marksman was our biggest measuring bull last spring for testicle size. He measured 42.5 cm at 11.5 months of age. I have been trying to produce some Shorthorn bulls with testicles like Angus bulls, and the Timeline's are doing it. They have much bigger testicles than any other sire we have used and they hang straight and even.

oakview... I think coyote made the best comment in regards to the cold weather you have been experiencing. He said that the US gave Canada COOL, we returned the favor and gave them COLD.  Believe me, we have had our share of the cold stuff as well.

The two bulls from pictures alone look starkly different type and kind. Maybe its just me. The Timeline son seems like he has alot of sheath and tends to be longer bodied more extended through front with some skin there too. The Element bull seems very masculine and just massive. Pictures are so hard to evaluate. I like video but reality is its always nice to see bulls in person. I didn't think his feet look bad up front just from those photos on Element bull. The bull that won NAILE looked like he toed more out front then ELement bull. JMO
