Opinions on the bulls Control Freak and Here I Am? I am going to use one of them to breed a shorthorn cow, and I have had people backing up both options.

Just because of the cow side of their pedigrees, here I am gets my vote. The 805 cow he's out of has produced at least 4 promo bulls and numerous high sellers. That cow is a no miss ( which is rare in cross breds).

Is she big framed?  Need moderated? Stay the same?
She's on the smaller framed side, just doesn't need to be bred to anything smaller than herself.

Control Freak's dam is a Crimson Tide/ Hired Man cow that hasn't missed either. Google "Control Freak Dam" and you will see an black and white cow with manure on her hip in a green pasture. Thats her. Her first calf (Final Product heifer), Dave Guyer bought off of the Pudenz Family Show Cattle sale, her second (Salty Dog Heifer) sold in Pudenz sale, then sold again by Trausch Farms and did well in Minnesota. Third calf was Control Freak. Fourth calf retained as a replacement heifer. They sold several steers this year out of her.
