knabe I'll bite. One of my choices would be Jerry Gibson's JJN Kodiak. They have a picture of him on their site. Like his looks and pedigree. He has super feet and leg design and is really flexible. One of the best fULLBLOODS I've seen. Mother was national champion and a very special made female as well.

want to use pre 1980 canadian registerable fullblood pedigree, preferable a direct import or a second gen bull out of an import cow.

I know how you are Knabe but if you look at the dang pedigree I believe he gives you exactly what you're looking for.

i do have calberta kodiak semen.

jerry doesn't dna verify pedigrees.

I found some Ike (reg #86) semen and the heifer calf we just had out of a red angus cow looks like she could be an interesting critter.  He is an old French from what I can tell.  My question is on dna pedigrees, if they are purchased US fullbloods that don't look like they have been dna'd, there isn't any real way to get them done anymore, correct?

Ike

Turn in the dna. Get it put in both Canadian and American association.

Request genotype and 50k

Ike is an odd looking bull.

For old fullbloods, they need to be preserved by using them on parentage verified Canadian registry eligible.

Many fullbloods in the American herdbook are not verified.

Ike is interesting as 3 of 4 corners of his pedigree are obscure and therefore useful for sources of diversity.

I can help you with that. :)

Well I have more than enough fullbloods in my tank for my 6  fullbloods cows, I could part with some of it.

also reg # 267 in canada with over 100 progeny so could send a straw and parentage verify

smooth and solid with adequate bone but droops from hooks to pins like inox

What’s the ultimate goal Knabe?

Straight horned pedigrees to use moderate old bulls on

Cross with extinct polled line without inox or the count.

Make new blacks.

Capture diversity using old semen that is not cunia, or tall tubey straight unless possessing  interesting traits.

Very interesting!  Post pics of the offspring

Got 15 embryos from Dablas pride.

Breed and start again next year on some older bulls.

So sort of a fullblood midas.

A.I. her to Manitou's Echo. IMO, he is built as close to perfection as any fullblood

I've seen (in a photo). There appears not too much wrong with him. Super cool pedigree, too.

That's him. There is a better picture of him winning a different show. It's on Monitou's site as well.

Show guys will not like his boxy front but for the real world... I think you could exploit him a little. Good internal dimension on this boy. Not coarse jointed either.

friend took this pic of the dabla cow.

i think its a pretty cool pic
