How much do you normally feed your calves as far as a percentage of body weight during day weaning.  I have one I am starting this with and this is my first time trying it.  Just hoping to get as much growth as possible.  Thanks

Free choice creep feed if you want.  Most of the time we don't offer them anything while they are tied up. They will almost suck the cow inside out when you put them back together.

Thanks for the reply!  We have been feeding her twice a day but may start just keep feed in front of her.

This calf was 3 months old when we started about a week and a half ago.

Last year I Flat out weaned at 90 days, and I had them eating 12lbs/day. I don't think I'd do it again, but I'd give the day weaning a try. I guess you can use the 12 lbs as a point of reference, but they didn't have their dams milk with that. 2/3 would finish their feed every day, the 3rd one was the youngest and would kinda go off and on each feeding.
