we're just getting rvved up for 2012 when Yellowstone blows the big one after Nibiru (Planet X) passes by and stirs everything up.  KJV Rev 9:2 and 9:17.

<alien>   Oh yeah, I am getting a little worried.  Seems like there is a new one every day.  Turkey was the last one and Texas starts with a "T", so I am thinking about it!! I think I would die from a heart attack before I died from any bodily damage if one was to happen!

Folks might want to check their earthquake coverage on their homeowners policies.  I know that mine is a separate rider that costs about $40 per year extra.  Eastern Wyoming is not an earthquake hotspot, but we had a small one back in the 80s, so they can happen and I recall that there was some scuttlebutt about the midwestern states being due for one.  Many homeowner policies do not cover earthquakes without a separate rider.

yeah, i have raised an eyebrow to the news lately, considering the earthquake in Chile knock the earth off its axis by 3-4 degrees and that is what caused the change in the daylight period  last week..... as for hte midwest ready for one, i hope you are wrong but if you want some crazy reading google "New Madrid Fault Line".....

some crazy stuff everywhere...

It didn't knock the earth off it's axis, it shifted the theoretical center of mass of the earth by few millimeters.  It's been a slow news month so all of the little ones are getting reported in addition to the two biggies.  The two big ones just happened in places we semi care about and notice.  They happen pretty frequently of this size in Asia.

No need to waste money on quake insurance unless you live near an already active fault area.  big hail storms are much more of a real threat for widespread property damage than quakes or even tornadoes.

This sounds like many livestock insurance policies. They usually offer great coverage for things like sinking on a ferry or death by being hit by a falling aircraft, but have less coverage for more normal death causes.

I agree with Chambero, and while I do not want to make light of these terrible devastating earthquakes, but earthquakes are fairly common occurences in many parts of the world. These last ones happened to hit populated areas, so the coverage on the news has been substantial. If the earthquake that  hit Chile, had hit Haiti, the death toll would have been unbelievable. I think I heard the Chilean earthquake was over 100 times stronger than the one in Haiti.... now that is scary!

The Living version published by Tyndale is an easier read, especially for the Layman. Revelation 6:12-14 gives pretty graphic details of an enormous earth quake, I don't know if I'd count on 2012 though! Timing is the one thing Proficy very carefully leaves out. Only sequences.

I don't think everyone needs quake coverage, but it helps to know something about the geology of your area and make a educated guess about whether it is a risk that should be insured against.  Same for all potential causes of property damage.

So then? Tsunami rider on your homeowners shouldn't be that much in Cheyenne? ;D
Well not until the sea level rises another 6200 feet or so.  I would say the risk is pretty low.  Now plain old windstorms that rip the shingles off the roof every couple of years is almost a sure thing.  When enough of them come off, going to go with standing seam metal.

We get tremmers here quite often.......The entire Ottawa Valley is on a fault line. Never seem to amount to much, thank God......my western friends might be thinking while they read this that losing our Nations Capital Politicians may not be such a catastrophy and I would tend to agree most days as long as it leaves the rest of us alone.

We only use clean sires and have clean cows, so I guess I can cancel that quake coverage.  Thanks for the prophecy AJ. <beer>

I live in the Ozarks, about 175 miles or so from the New Madrid Fault Zone. Crossed my mind, several times, that things are not too stable on an eroded Limestone & Sandstone Palteau!
