Jim Thieman was Harold's son, so I am assuming that Jamie is Harold's grand son. Jim Thieman married the late Don Hoyt's( from Wyoming) sister.
The Thieman farm was a great place to visit. The office in the barn was lined with awards, pictures and banners from the past. Concordia, MO is about 30 miles east of Kansas City. I 70 goes right through the Thieman's yard, so it is easy to see if you watch for it. I am not sure if they still have Shorthorns or not.
There are also underground missiles on the Thieman farm, and on one visit Harold decided to show one to me. We drove up to one of the missile sites and the gate into it was open. There were some US army vehicles inside, so they were obviously doing some work there. Harold drove right into the missile site, and before we could blink we had several guys in army attire standing around his truck with their rifles pointed at us. This kinda got my attention real quick!!! They didn't seem real impressed when Harold told them he was showing a " foreigner" the missile site.
You are right about Harold being a real salesman. I think he tried to sell every cow we saw to me, every time I was there.
