seems cut up in his flank, twist, nice length, tight sheath, feet in the right direction, seems a tad short hipped but that could be due to his length, for me could use a little more blown up in his ribcage for depth.  doesn't seem a pounds heavy bull, but profiles nice.

I'm curious. What is so different about this bull to make him a landmark sire, watershed sire?

Aussie I can only wish that was my cow. That would be Shoshone Prudence 6157. IMO one of the best cows for purity of type and predictability. Instead of Rodney Dangerfield from Caddyshack in my avatar, I figured I may as well have something useful up there. She would be my model I will try to mass produce someday. Sure sounds easy lol.

We had some darn good Scotch Cap daughters.  Some of our best cows go back to those cows.  The thing that I hated about them is that my Grandpa wouldn't let me get out of the truck when they were around.  I wasn't very old when he was popular.  Those cattle had some attitude.  When I had some age on me and they had some age they were still producing good calves.  They did their best to make sure that I stayed in shape too!  ;D

I have been told Scotch Cap is no different really than Pine Drive Big Sky. Just a  croosbred really. I guess the ones I learned from just hated this bull so I may be biased. One mans junk is another mans treasure.

I wonder if we bred a Scotch Cap to a EXT then to a JLB Exacto then to Gardens Wave if we could not create a cow that is the meanest cow this side of Uzbeckistan. Propegate this line and mass market it to Russsia, China , Cuba and the rest of the commies.  ;D

I think Scotch Cap left some great bulls not the best milkers but good bulls. Bulls like GT Maximum and a bull that produced great females I look for in pedigrees Pack Power Scotch Cap 889. Some of the strongest cow families in Australia feature 889.
