Genetics Gurus Question for you

I know a little about genetics
Trying to piece together the offspring genetics of a calf  Now I know the color of it and it's full sibling.  Thought I would ask you color gurus what you think I may get and see what you all say

Cow is By Alias out of a PB Angus  Cow has grey skin/nose and is not pure white but a shade of white/silver
Above cow is bred to Brilliance-PB Angus bull

What so you think we got in color-wise in the last two calves?

Cows previous calves have been
crossbred peach bull(charolais influence) and we got a smokey bull
Crossbred peach bull (above bull) and we got a red heifer
crossbred black bull and we got a black bull

Alias must be a red gene carrier to get the red heifer out of the peach (diluted red) crossbred bull.  Brilliance should yield a black or grey smoke calf.

I agree the angus calbes should be majority black perhaps one could be smoke in 4 or so

For sure no yellows or reds out of that mating

We have gotten two grey skinned white heifers.  Gorgeous they are but not smoky.  Will be interested to see what we get from them down the road.  I would have thought we would get more smokey tones but not the case.

You stated at the beginning that your:

Now you are saying that you had two grey skinned white heifers, but what bull were they sired by?  A diluted color with charolais is generally going to be peach colored or grey colored depending on whether the progeny would have been red or black without the diluter effect.  Maybe you have something else going on from the crossbred influences.

IS the angus sire a red carrier as well? Brilliance? Know nothing about him.

Anything is posdible, but Brilliance should not be a red gene carrier unless his pedigree is wrong.
