Hot Commodity or Saskvalley Yesterday

I'm debating on breeding this Damn Proud x Ace of diamonds heifer to Hot Commodity or Saskvalley yesterday. She is super sound, huge middled, and has a lot of base width. My only complaint is that she could be more feminine. I think a good maternal bull would do her some good. I want to stay pb shorthorn and have showable calves. I have a Hot Commodity daughter that is pretty nice, but I'm wondering if yesterday could be more Feminine/ maternal yet. Any one have any input or experience with Yesterday? Thanks.

There have been varying reports on some pretty big calves out of Yesterday-and from what Ive gathered he isnt very big-If you have Hot Commodity-my choice by all means-I would not use Yesterday on a an American (US )  show heifer  O0 O0

We just sold a Hot Commodity out of a first calf heifer for big money off the farm this spring. Best calf we've ever had.

what kind of cows is hot commodity clicking with? I've seen some great ones and some plain janes. maybe there are better shorthorn CE bulls out there. ghost Rider pictured pretty well as a mature bull. any other input?

I am a major HC fan also. The first ones we had, I thought "man I have messed up" they were really small. Seems like at about 3 weeks or so they really take off growing and filling out and then you know you have something. I think HC is a bull that can produce females and bulls both, that are worth keeping.  The two purebred bulls I go to for virgin heifers is HC and KOLT Kane Nitro.

For us he isn't so much a cow changer. If you have a good heifer or cow, the calf will be good and likely better than its mother. He adds bone and muscle for us on a pretty consistent basis. Structure has been fantastic. Not always the most hairy calves, but what hair they have is nice. 

First time I've ever sold a first calf from a heifer for 20k+ in my life so I'm a little bit of a hardcore believer now.
