The payments above are after taxes. I would take the lump sum payout as it is a million after tax. Guess I would have to keep my job but maybe not full time. Could do more in the cattle business.

I would spend half of it on whiskey and women and just waste the other half lol. No, I would buy some land, build a huge show barn, then buy some shorthorn heifers that would make the ring shake when they walked in.

I would buy 600 acres and put my house in the middle. Surround it with dear food plots and hunt. Then I would have a house on the lake with a new 20 ft Ranger w/ 250 horse. Bass fishin in the summer dear hunt most of the winter.  I bet you would not of guessed that now would ya?
I seen millions of dollars spent chasin the purple stardom and I would be smart enough not to at that dollar level.

Build a feedlot near my house, think it could work. Two ethanol plants within a 15 mile radius, 3 more within a 50 mile radius.  Large packer within 30 miles. Piece together calves from the local salebarns that sell 20-30 cents under market.

They tried one up by Champaign, and idk that it's going great, but there are still cattle there.

Again, I am going to show immense restraint and make no other comment but to say that when I was growing up, my parents taught me to " bloom where I was planted".

After this winter, I'd have a real desire to have a southern division.  preferably in the Bahamas, Cancun, or anywhere else tropical.  I'd leave the cattle here & let someone else stay to care for them.
