Hey folks- I noticed alot of responses on IVF in cattle.. If you need some questions answered, fire some questions.. I work with a company called Vitrogen USA out of Decatur, TX and we are a branch of the Brazilian company Vitrogen, which has been doing IVF and research for over 16 yrs commercially.. I noticed a few of the statements and I just wnated to help give a professional side of IVF if you need help with it.. I am not a super hero just blessed that the Lord has given me this opportunity to work in this profession and help educate others with the gifts the Lord has given me.. visit www.vitrogenusa.com if you have an interest on IVF and how safe and efficint it really is.. 100% guaranted pregnanies at 60 days or no pay is their policy.. God Bless

(welcome) & I'm sure we will be picking your brain a bunch. I'm glad to see some competition for Trans Ova. I tried IVF with them & was not impressed with the results at all.

Why is there no town location for this place and only a cell phone number and no office info?

I tell people to just use my cell all the time, if they want to be sure & get ahold of me.

Doc thanks for the line there.. I am new and don't know how to do the signature yet.. I promise to work on it :) but Doc, it is easier to get me by email, I average around 72 phone calls a day- work, ranch, familty, etc ;)

you might want to elaborate on how many eggs you can fertilize from one straw of semen.

question regarding sexed semen and how many oocytes(eggs) can 1 straw fertilize..

Currently, 1 straw of convention frozen semen can fertilize 200 oocytes, sexed semen has a lower semen concentration which allows 100 oocytes to be fertilized.. On avg, a typical cow will produce 20 viable oocytes of which 98% will cleave(produce a 2 celled embryo) and approx 50% embryo production(blastocysts).. therfore 1 cow apiration on average can produce possibly 7-10 pregnancies.. The advantage is that we can aspirate a particular cow every 7-14 days up until she is 6months bred :) Oh yes, even though she is bred, we can still aspirate her safely and keep producing pregnancies.. Rodeo stock contractors like to get 10 to 20 donors together for 1 aspirate to use 1 straw  to fertilize 200 oocytes, which can yield from 20 to 60 pregnancies with 1 straw, why is this an advantage? A typical straw in the rodeo world costs anywhere from$4000 to $28,000 per straw.. Hope this hepled
