I would like to thank nate53 and his family for purchasing half interest in the dam of TG/RRA Complete 421. Im excited to see what the future brings. If not for steerplanet, I doubt I would know him or he would know me. Steerplanet strikes again! I hope she has a heifer here soon nate! Merry Christmas!

Thanks Brock, I saw an opportunity to own a piece of an exceptional young cow (with outstanding production) and I took it!  Looking forward to the future as well, she possesses so much that the Shorthorn breed needs and yet has maybe even more to offer the commercial sector (which the shorthorn breed so desperately needs to be part of).  From a commercial standpoint I can't help but love Complete (he just screams commercial), and to think this was her first calf! 8)  Thanks steerplanet (Jason) for this site which is an opportunity to learn from like minded breeders (and non like minded ;)) of many different breeds, and even more for getting to meet people that we would otherwise never come in contact with!

Happy Holid....  I mean Merry Christmas :)

That cow family has a story of it's own.  Her dam was purchased site unseen as I am sure this female was for Nate and Kayla. Looking forward to the future egg matings, Nate - as she has earned that spot in the "pen".
Bob well as far as I know your clementine - might be the high imf female of the breed? Lakeside likes to see profit for  each investor.

She is bred to Bonanza now. The other two breedings porduced just average progeny that went to town.
Hope for better success this spring.
She looks much better this year.

Bob, Id say Bonanza is a good choice. Our Clementine has produced 2 really cool bull calves and one steer that went to town. He had a head just like his sires and I didnt care for it and he was 92lb. Its always a trick or an art to find bulls that click with your cows. Its my favorite part of this business. Politics, like what we see going on here right now is shady and disgusting. Thats my least favorite part.

In my infinite snoopiness I just checked out 813U's offspring and I would have placed money if you hadn't posted otherwise that the FOXWILLOW SOVEREIGN 3S X-[CAN]M472253 would have been a really neat calf.

      Eionmor Ideal 69F
Sire: Muridale Buster 14K
    Muridale Robin 57G
Sovereign 3S
    JT Jeff 44J
Dam: ST Betsy 81N
    Poplar Park Misty Betsy 34A

Congratulations nate and trevergrey on your new formed partnership I definitely am a huge fan of that cow's first calf, and her 329 bull.

The heifer calf was narrow with no depth so she didn't make the cut.
I culled heifer calves pretty hard this fall.

Congrats to Nate53 on your new purchase! I don't think you will be disappointed. Complete is a stud, period. Anytime you are in the southwestern Ohio or eastern Indiana area just give me a call and come check out Complete. I think you guys have a lot of options for success with that female.  (thumbsup)

I have a half sister of hers by Captain and she is turning out to be a pretty good cow.
Bob you could breed her to Alta cedar Ultimate 130K or one of his sons, that would be similar breeding to TGCC's cow (thumbsup)

If I still owned that female- I would use DRC 101vm "dover" or Kohlsteadt's Diamond Regal legend ( did I get that name right).

Id breed her to the thickest Captain son I could find. That resulting calf if a heifer could be a good rip when bred to something unrelated. If you study the breeding theories of Shoshone, its not always the best performing or best looking cows that steal the show. I bred 329 to his daughters. I think those calves will make prepotent cows. Just a theory of mine. Happy New Year everybody!!! Be safe out there and enjoy yourselves!
