Mixing Kleen Sheen and vinegar

Great posts! Horse products are  worth a try as well. Shapleys MTG is an awesome product. Not only acts as conditioner but is anti fungal as well. Also aids in growth. Can be diluted with vinegar and or alcohol. Laser Sheen is same as kleen sheen much cheaper if you buy it concentrated then dilute yourself. Neat Neck is also much cheaper than Sullivan's sweating product. We always had one show box that went back and fourth from the horse show to the calf show! There are many other products we have used on both our beef cattle and even dairy cattle as well.

ok.. I got the infusium 23 . it says thats its for color treated hair and it's a creamy type product. (A long time ago I used infusium, it was in a big white bottle, it looked like a liquid then)
Did I get the wrong one ? Also the feed store didnt have kleen sheen but gave me show sheen instead, is that the same type product or do I need to get "kleen sheen"

Yes you got the wrong Infusion 23 it is still the liquid form, the sheen you got from the feed store is fine.

jasper...I believe you need the Infusium "Leave In Treatment"(I get the color treated hair one usually),...the creamy looking Infusium is a "Conditioner" that should be washed out.  I just got 15 coupons off ebay for $1.79 (incl shpg),  each for $3 off any size bottle Infusium...  I used this stuff a lot on my show horses (tails and manes)...was glad to see it's used on show cattle, too, as I'm just learning all this stuff...couple of my weanlings are my "guinea pigs".  Kathy.

I went to 1 grocery store, dollar store and walmart......NONE to be found.  I'll hit the drug store tommorow to find the regular kind. I used that stuff on my hair for years and loved it.

Does anyone use in addition to these does anyone use Downy Fabric Softener (or similiar product) on hair?

We use downt after we dye a calf, the next day we will mix 1/ and 1/2 downy with sheen in a fogger, spray it on and comb in real well and then dry, really makes the hair soft and easy to work with.

Is it ok to leave the sheen/vin/infusium mix in the hair or do you need to wash it out? My little cousins have just started showing and me and my grandfather don't have time to wash the calves everyday. I really need something that the kids can use that can just be brushed in. We have been wetting that calves down every evening and that seems to be keeping the hair on them ok. I would just like to know what we can do to help it pop a little more.

We use 50/50 downy and horse asorbine to work curly hair.  This is not a hair dressing, just use it like this to train hair that will not lay right.

Vinegar is great for your skin and hair coat  with or without anything.

For those using Infusium 23 do you get some suds (white stuff, not sure how to describe it) when you rinse?  We are rinsing at least two times and day and most of the time three times a day.  We use a mixture of Infusium, Kleen Sheen, and Vinegar based on recommendations I have read here.  I will probably date myself but I come from the days of Orvus and can remember it took about a week of rinsing to get the calves to quite shedding suds and no matter what you did you usually ended up with dandruff.   Obviously we are most likely rinsing out Infusium from the last time we worked the hair, are we using too much or is this what you experience?

I don't rinse the Infusioum out, just leave it in. Also I just use vinegar w/ it.
I'm like you, we used Orvus to wash animals too!
