SLAM, SLAM, SLAM!  Trump twice in the pedigree is far from outcross JIT. Come on man. (lol) What type of cow will he be bred to you for you? Here is a question for you JIT........ How many bulls to you own a piece of right now?  You sure have been the great traveler this fall.

Matt, congrats on getting Doc Clark. I'm excited about that. Ol Captain Obvious is starting to take off even more. I read on cattle today about him and at least once a week, I tell someone else about him. The shorthorn revolution is begginning lol.

I feel like jamming this morning! Here , so you can jam with me.

I will agree with you on the Leemon's LSF Step It Up bull. When I arrived at the Shorthorn barn, the very first person I happened to see was Scott Leemon. He said to me, that he wanted me to stop and see a bull he had in his string. I asked if he had time to show him to me right then, and we went to his stall. I purchased a syndicate interest in him on the spot. I think this is the first time in my life that I bought a piece of the very first animal I saw at a show or sale.
They say you should buy your next herd bull when you find him not when you need him. You could have walked the whole barn just to come back and find someone else had bought him!(been there done done that!)

Sorry JIT but I found Trump twice in his pedigree.  One of your friends on here is bound to slam you for that.

You are correct. Trump is in his pedigree twice 5 generations back. That far back does not concern me when a bull this this good. There are lots of other good genetics stacked in his pedigree.

In any event, I believe a bull this good deserves to be tried, regardless what is 5 generations back in his pedigree. And the shares are selling for $1500 each so I am not about to lose my farm if he doesn't work out. If he does work, he is a very good investment. I am betting he is going to breed his type, and he is definitely the type we need many more of.... in any breed. I suspect if he was in the Angus barn, his shares would be selling for about 10Xs this.

I thought Martindell Farms bull " Sull Final Answer" looked great. He sure had a lot of people looking at him. I got some semen on him to use.
I thought he was a good looking bull too.  His calves in the KY Bluegrass Sale were really nice.

They sold a cow/calf in that sale that I'm still kickin myself for not buyin
Me too!  Just think what the pair would have sold for if we had both jumped in! (lol)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAaBYQzN7Lw&feature=related////Thanx -incredible performance-particularly 7 years after bubble gum poofs like Bobby Vinton. It is not humanly possible to play like some of those guys(the drummer) under normal circumstances-speed kills.

Looks like a great bull. I always liked the photos of his sire when he was winning. Are there many AF KF VG STEP AHEAD 525 bulls being used?
