OK, these came from XXCC but he didn't tell me who they are.
Ones a bull the other a cow. Both foundation animals!

Don't know who they are (won't even guess), but they are the reason I like Maine-Anjou cattle. Great photos!

I could kick myself in the behind. Even with all the good hints, I still didn't figure it out.  Always wondered why Nor Tex General wasn't used more?

Spent half a day trying to find this old snap shot. Yes, before digital. Of course it it was at the bottom of everything and didn't know if I still had it.

DL, this one is for you, but all can play. I will even give a hint. He's a registered purebred Maine-Anjou and became well known. This picture was taken when the calf was six months old.

Sorry Farmboy, didn't realize you were posting a picture, too. Wonder if both bulls are related? Two bulls to figure out at once!

Yes DL- this is from XXCC!
The cow is Cette-La.  I got the picture from a Canadian breeder that owned Cette-La after she was out of production...as you may know, Cette-La had less than ten offspring.  She was the first flush in the Maine-Anjou breed.

The bull is Covino III in Denver in the yards in 1971. The gent in the cowboy hat, glasses and sideburns is Gary Greshmel, an early leader of the IMAA and AMAA.

Need another hint!! If this was live you could do charades but since it ain't you can't!!

This calf was born in the U.S. of A. He's a 15/16 purebred. Maybe the 1st born. That enough hints, I think.

Sorry, I mislead you AA Black Gold was the first 15/16 solid black Maine bull. For my mistake I'll give you another hint. This calf is one of his sons.

STRUTT - never saw a baby picture of him!
OK -  so my first guess was Ferris Ranch Strutt (then I was mislead by the first black ...) so my guess is STRUTT - made 'em black and made 'em pretty and they are great cows!

Do I win the minature replica of the multicolored raon Beefpaca?
