I breed a few hereford cows to this guy in the mid 80's. Thought he was pretty good for his day.

No, that was "David", owned by Bright Bros. in Cal.. His sire was "Lerch".


I think the story on that was brights had national champion heifer or something similar, leech bred her there, resulting in David. I also remember that female.


They were in the horticultural business and have an antique shop completely driven by a belt system. For some reason the queen of England visited their place.


I think one of the brothers raises show calves and they don't do much with reg Herefords anymore.

Been thinking about that deep flank thing...I think knabe has a point.
Maybe if the animal is short coupled the gut extends further back?
Anyway, who knows this guy?
