My son Keaton Christensen was in a very serious accident on the evening of 3/31. He was lucky enough to get an internship close to home to fill a college coarse requirement for his  degree. It involves Anhydrous Ammonia. He incurred some 2nd degree burns to his face and a spot on his left wrist but by far his biggest challenge will be the recovery of his pulmonary system. His diagnosis was severe inhalation burns deep in his lungs. He is making progress but it will be a long, long journey with some predicted setbacks which is just part of it along that journey. Some very good friends of ours are trying to keep up with reports of his progress until we can organize our own timeline, which at this time I cannot stop to think about. Anita Mittag's, ( Mittag Show Cattle ), sister Estee Walter's FB page is where to go to possibly keep yourself posted. Keaton has a FB page as well & I know that there has been some effort there to also get something going, but I don't FB nor would I be able to right now. You can help Keaton, his sister's, Mom, & I by keeping us close in your thoughts and prayers. It will mean more than I can express if you would send up some love for the young man that we love so much. Thank you Brent Christensen, A.K.A. Steer Planet, CAB.

I can appreciate the seriousness of your sons injuries particularly the damage done to his lungs.  This is going to be a long, hard fight with many potential setbacks.  The main thing is be their for him and never give up hope.
Let this be a waring to all those that handle anhydrous ammonia.  Wear the proper safety gear such as gloves and respirator, Always have have a wearable gas detector such as this one:http://www.gasmonitors.com/main.cfm?sub3=84&page=prodpage&pid=30 to aviod going into a gas cloud where the concentrations are high enough to disable or injure.

Good morning to  everybody. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. This will be a marathon. Stu I was composing a text to you a bit ago but my phone rang and I lost it and didn't have. The patience to restart right now. Please go to caringbridge.com / Keaton Christensen. His two sisters are trying to keep up Keaton's timeline on his road to recovery. You all are part of our family and important to us. Please keep praying for Keaton. He is working very, very hard. Sincerely Keaton Christensen & Family.
