Outcross Shorthorn bull

I have always held the belief that if you don't have a really good picture,  you had best not display one at all. Destroy your first picture! It shows him to toe out badly. I like the bull in the second picture a lot better.Earl

I am with Olsun, get rid of the first photo. I could go on and on with what is wrong with the bull in that photo.
As far as the outcross thing why dont you tell us his pedigree so we can look at it?

from the first picture i'd say he's got some structural issues, i.e. he toes out, straight fronted, and off in his hip. he also looks coarse shouldered. The rear picture gives us a wide hipped bull but disappoints you in his lower 1/3.  Granted we're dealing with shorthorns and in this case outcross shorthorns but i'd still like to see that thickness carried farther down to get me interested

I haven't seen any pictures,but would like to know what you are refering to as "outcross" shorthorn? Outcross from what? That word seems to be used with alot of frequency on here,especially about shorthorns,and mostly from non shorthorn breeders. Just curious.

I too would be interested in the pedigree.  I didn't study the pictures really hard this morning.  My first impression was that he was a fairly thick calf and in decent condition. He had a nice round quarter from the side, lots of depth of body, and some hip from behind.  For everyone that is reading this post for the first time now, with no pictures, they were not that bad.  There have been a lot worse animals pictured on here.  My first impression was that he seemed like an interesting calf.  There have been pictures on here that I have hit the back arrow so fast that I couldn't even guarantee they had feet, let alone toed out.  I thought it was an honest picture and gave a good idea of what the calf was like.  If he had the right pedigree I would drive to see this calf.  He would probably be as good or likely better than his picture.  I would rather have it that way than the other.  Any ways they were not the greatest pictures in the world, and nobody will send you thousands of dollars for him based on photos alone, but they were not awful either and were better than no picture at all.  That was not a calf you should be ashamed of.  Bravo for actually putting a picture of one of your calves out there for everyone to see.  There are a lot on here that are not that brave. 
PS in my opinion, when I think outcross  to the "hot" shorthorn sires, I think he should have no Trump, Doublestuff, maybe no Maine blood at all.

thank you for enlightentment! Appreciated. Have posted his pedigree and differnet pics. He wieghed 805 lbs on Nov9, won his division at Shorthorn National show at Farmfair in Edmonton. Will have his profesional pics done next week at Agribition in Regina.Picture of his dam taken 2weeks ago, yes thats snow.

Front legs still turn out quiet bit

lacks a bit in lower quarter

LIke his momma and would like to see some better photos.

 Anything without Trump,Sonny,Solution ect. Louisville was sad. Cattle looked great. Pedigrees looked the same, SAD! To each his own but we need some new stuff. There are rumblings on of good things in the Canadian cattle pedigrees.Again, you gotta breed what you can sell. Gonna be a bunch of Appendix cattle born here this year, a couple of Salutes, a few Fatheads(Castlerock son) and Swaggers oh and of course some WILD SIDES. Pictured below is my new outcross. Got the semen on Fathead at Kurt's sale and used the day I got home. pretty fired up about the coming years calf crop. Are you takin fathead to Denver. If you do not show him then display him. Thought I would see you at L'ville!

We will have him on the hill.  Weighed him last night, 1900# and a whopping 53 inches tall.  Puts him around a 4.5 frame.  Takes after his mom.  Gonna show him and see what the judges have to say.  If they don't like the bull, oh well, he still gets to breed cows.
