I have several, but I think this cow has the most potential! She is three years old and a Macho x angus/maine cow. Herring Angus owned the dam, and consigned this cow to the Exposure Sale in 2008 where we bought her. She won 2009 South Central Regionals in Durant, OK as a %. She was always either on the top or bottom, depending on if the judge liked a "steery" type heifer or not. She is due in October with a Mo Better bull calf, and had a pretty nice half blood heifer this year out of a average herd bull we sent her to. We are hoping the vet sexed it wrong! We are flushing her in the fall to Steel Force. Kinda excited about that one!
Justintime, she too is also to thick to fit in the chute! We giggle all the time when we work cows because we have to put a halter on her to work with her, and tease that no one brought the can opener to cut her out if we had to run her through!

I can't pick just one so here are my top two.  I go back and forth on them depending upon the day.

Perks Red Robin 41R  - Leachman Red Spread x Perks Miss Robinhood 205R

Riggins Anne 903  -  Riggins Pri-Destined x DI Anne 343

We're building our new Red Angus program around these two........

My latest favourite, a 4 year old Limi x All About You.  She comes from one of those cow families that can raise a good one no matter what way their bred.

Had to pick two....haha couldn't choose 1.
1. Red Brockle- High % arapahoe cow raising pretty good heifer calf in pic. Pictured at 7 years.
2. Shorthorn- Purebred Shorthorn that goes back to After Hours, Double Stuff and Warhorse. Pictured as a right after having first calf this spring.
//// Man-you need to breed that red Brockle cow to RS After Hours-sire of your white cow. There are some stone great ones on here-but hes just my favorite bull-LOW BW-THICK,easy keeping-any cow on this thread would really work with him-ESPECIALLY the Canadian Shorts.

I will def look into using him, she is bred to Carpe Diem right, now but I will look into him for next spring!

These are two of my favorites. The first is TM Kilmilhill 64P.  The second is a xbred that we got at a salebarn when we first started raising cattle.  She was a recip for a while last year we decided to breed her naturally and this year has one heck of a bull calf on the ground.

There are a lot of nice females on the planet. WOW! Would take anyone of the above gals in to my herd.

the cow attached we bought 7-8 years ago. The guy thought she was on her 3 calf but wasn't sure. He knew her sire was Who Made Who out of Angus cow. She could have been one of the first years or so that WMW came out. So we think she is about 14 but don't know. You would never know it to see her.
I apologize the pic is not quiet as fancy as some. She had just been treated for lice as you can see she shed some on her hair on hip. She breeds every year AI and calves on her own. Has a nice bag and milks great. Carrys condition on grass with minimal inputs. She is though very moderate framed. We used Almost Famous this year on her and that seem to click Pretty fancy steer calf. I have kept two of her daughters out of 3 C Macho and Heat Seeker because they are so nice. She has only had three heifers.

Weaning a very nice Density heifer at 10 years young...and ready to start flushing this fall!
Excellent lookin cow.  Really like her udder.

There's a few on here I would cull on udders alone.

Sjd that is a very impressive lookin momma! How have yall been breeding her?

Thanks for the compliment qb, she was Supreme Champion Female over all breeds at Agribition last fall. We've got daughters in the herd by Smokester, Wildor Raven(great old female maker from the 80's) and SVY Invincible. We have also flushed her to TR Firewater this past spring.

My favorite: She's just a youngster, but I think she's got tremendous potential. Radio Active x Navaho x Dixie Chic pictured while nursing her 7 mo 1st calf.

Crossbred cow we got during our commercial herd expansion earlier this year. Not sure what she is but looks like she has some Shorthorn and maybe Simmental? Anybody have a guess? She will be bred to Complete.

Very nice set of females. I love this thread. Breeding cattle isn't only about the bulls, the cows contribute just as much!

Any chance she could be part Braunvie or Swiss? That light line on her back seems similar.

(thumbsup) A good cow line is worth more than most bulls. Those cows that you can put any bull(even a real dog) over and still produce a good calf are priceless.
