Prayer Request for our School!!!!

Last week a 17yr old young man with a very Bright future took his own life do to bullying and depression. His family owned the local Christmas tree farm.    Friday night a 15yr old young man, also with a very bright future died from injuries he received when his 4-wheeler hit a coal truck on his way to work at a dairy farm. Both these boys were friends of my son.  He is dealing as are alot of other young people in this school.  The 17 yr old was a youth leader, an eagle scout, a 4-h member and worked very hard helping his dad around the Christmas tree farm.  The 15 yr old was the grandson of one of our employees.  Both these boys were taken to early and at this time of year it is hitting the families hard, as well as the school.  I am asking that you pray for our school, I worry that do to the proximity of the deaths that we may have someone else do something stupid.  Please Pray that we can get through these horrible events and that the school staff can reach those who really need it.    Thanks  (angel) (angel) (angel)

This is so very true, one year ago I lost my daughter two days after my birthday and one day after Thanksgiving. It will never be the same for us again. RW

Keep an eye on the kids.  We have had several suicides at the highschool over the last couple of years.  It can become an epidemic.  Nothing worse than loosing kids for any reason.  LF

Strength, peace and compassion to your school.

This brings to attention that bullying isn't something to be laughed at, or ignored, at yet, when ask, many on this board responded that the one being bullied should "just suck it up" or "get tough"....
Maybe easily said than done?

I would recommend having a counslor come in and speak to each class, and have a drop box for questions that can be ask and answered without names being involved. Sometimes the light at the end of the tunnel is turned off, but some do not realize that it will come back on eventually.

In times like these, there are no words that can lend ease to your emotions.  When I was a sophomore one of my best friends was killed in a auto accident and my senior year a classmate was killed by a gunshot to the head.  These were excruciating losses and I mourned for what seemed like an eternity.  The death of young people is hard to cope with regardless of the circumstances and when 2 tradgedies hit at once it is twice as tough.  I am truly sorry for the losses your community is dealing with.  My prayers go out to you.
