Considering this because I want them to take very badly and apparently the chances are low? Advice before I decide to do it
(Also specific cow has a history of twins in pedigree.)
Mother was a twin and sire was a twin
Funny enough her dam is listed as being a twin to a BULL CALF! I’m putting her own embryos in her (ALSO semen is HEIFER SEXED)
I am limited on the amount of recips I have otherwise probably wouldn’t be a thought 🤷‍♂️

I’ve also thought of this I think it’s a lot on how you plan to manage your recips and if the cow can handle easing two calves you will probably have a good chunk of change in feed costs and possibly calves that are behind

One thing I didn’t add is for me I talked to a few commercial guys to let me put eggs in and buy the calves back to market price if I do the work of giving shots cidirs etc

People who know more then me has told me it would not increase your success rate that much if at all. Getting the most bang for the buck is putting separate eggs in different females or the same females if one doesn't take in a different cycle. If the cow is not ready to take an embryo for what ever reason it won't take with 1 or 5 implanted.

Well ya know more than me! So I appreciate it ended up just doing the one embryo and will preg check soon any advice on differences of et pregnancy vs ai pregnancy?
I believe I saw some folks say on here that sometimes et recips need to be induced? I know it’s a bit early in the game but I am relatively new to show cattle and weren’t born into a show family but have had success By the grace of God! and want to make sure I do the most right that I myself can
