When you get into the cattle industry you learn to accept a certain amount of loss. It is to be expected, but non-the-less, it usually isnt the greatest of times. My daughter's crown jewel, you might say, lost her battle this weekend after being paralyzed in her backend after a hard labor and nerve damage that could not be overcome. We had her in a sling, gave her every shot imaginable, but too not avail. This was tough on my 10 year old as her hopes for this heifer and the calf were pretty high. She was a great heifer in the ring and allowed my daughter to taste success that many who show dont get too! She is hurting right now and while I understand this prayer request is not at the level of losing a family member or friend, I am going to ask for it for my kid. Went into her room last night to say goodnight and she was crying and asked me to pray with her. Hard times yeah..... insurmountable, not in the least. She is a farm kid and gets it. Guess that doesnt always mean you have to like it!
